FAQ
DO I NEED ANY MODELING EXPERIENCE?
Not at all! Most of my clients have never been in front of a professional camera before. My sessions are 100% guided—I will coach you through every pose, angle, expression, and movement. You never have to worry about "what to do with your hands" or feeling awkward.
WHAT MAKES velvet & void A "SAFE SPACE"?
As a female photographer working in alternative and kink spaces, safety, respect, and consent are the core foundation of my business. All sessions are judgment-free, body-positive, and inclusive of all genders, identities, and experience levels.
WILL MY PHOTOS BE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR YOUR WEBSITE?
Only if you explicitly give written permission. Your privacy is non-negotiable. Before your session, we review a model release form where you choose your level of privacy. If you want your photos to stay 100% private for your eyes only, that choice is respected completely.
WHAT IF I WANT PHOTOS, BUT NEED TO HIDE MY FACE OR IDENTIFYING FEATURES?
Discretion is a huge specialty of mine. We can utilize artistic crop lines, dramatic shadow work, silhouette lighting, and specific framing to ensure your face, unique tattoos, or identifying features are completely obscured while still delivering stunning art.
HOW MUCH IS A SESSION, AND HOW DO I RESERVE A SPOT?
Session fees start at $495, which secures your dedicated time slot and shoot. Prints and digital packages are purchased after photo reveal. Unless attending an event.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING POLICY?
Retainers/booking fees secure your exclusive time slot and location rental, making them non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule due to an emergency, please notify me at least 3 days in advance, and we will do our best to transfer your deposit to a future shoot date.
DO YOU OFFER HAIR AND MAKEUP (MUHA)?
Yes! We offer professional Makeup & Hair Artistry (MUHA) as an add-on service. Our vetted artists specialize in everything from soft, radiant boudoir glam to bold, dramatic dark-aesthetic looks that translate beautifully under professional studio lighting.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING OR WEAR TO MY SESSION?
Wear whatever makes you feel powerful, confident, and comfortable! Popular options include harnesses, leather, lace, silk robes, dark streetwear, or rope/shibari elements. Once you book, I will send over a complete Client Prep Guide with tips on outfit selection, skincare, and session prep.
